Seeing the world through new eyes

The international festival Sens Interdits promises a “theatre of emergency, of necessity”, inviting more than twenty companies from France, Russia, Greece, Latin America, Congo, Kosovo and Canada to perform in their own language (with supertitles), to talk about war, exile and repression, as well as the art of creating, fraternity and humanity. A country with a rich tradition of drama, Chile will take pride of place, with four shows featuring powerful themes, from the Mapuche indigenous people, exile and dictatorship under the Pinochet regime, and the violence inflicted on children and adolescents in SENAME, a national service for minors with serious issues. This festival shakes up certainties, disrupts and asks questions.
