Quais du Polar

The 19th edition of the Quais du Polar festival will be filled with games, films, conferences, gatherings, signing sessions, suspense and passion.

 Welcoming more than 120 authors from around the world, this year’s event will focus on Spanish crime fiction, which has had the wind in its sails since the mid-2000s, taking readers deep into the underbellies of cities like Madrid and Barcelona.

There will also be an exploration of the relationship between crime novels and journalism, and the ways in which they influence each other. Lastly, exactly sixty years following the publication of the novel ‘The Spy Who Came in from the Cold’, Quais du Polar will be paying tribute to John Le Carré, a giant of the genre, with a highly topical “spy novel” theme.
