The Slika gallery (member of the Adèle* network) opted for an artistic residency format featuring an exhibition by Uruguayan artistic duo Maite y Manuel directly affiliated with the Biennial of Contemporary Art. Drive My Car, which is on until 18 September, tells the tale of both artists’ road trip from Majorca to Lyon. Nicolas Jullien, French sculptor, musician and film-maker will be up next from 10 October to 23 November 2024.

* Designed to promote and showcase contemporary artistic creation, the network puts on a range of events and exhibition visits.

La Taille de mon Âme

The gallery nestled on the slopes of La Croix-Rousse, which is a member of the Osez Les Galeries collective, champions its openness to all via a range of actions in favour of cultural integration. During the Biennial, it’ll be putting on Je vois le vase en vous, an exhibition by Réjean Peytavin featuring ceramics, engravings, and drawings. The artist will be present in person for two key events: a public Q&A plus a series of performances of Vasomancie (editor’s note: one-on-one sessions designed to take you on an inner journey).

L’Omarterie

L’Omarterie is an exhibition space for fresh new talents emerging from the Omart incubation programme, which works to promote the local art scene.
During the Biennial, illustrator Nicolas Badout and artist/painter Trépid will be putting on a performance in Lyon’s old town. Photographer Charlène Planche, street artist Boun Ka, painter Antoine Fabre, and visual art duo Toki are also scheduled over the second half of 2024.

Fondation Bullukian

As part of the Biennial’s official programme, the Bullukian Foundation is hosting an exhibition by artist Raphaëlle Peria, Dérives de nos rêves informulés, (i.e., driftings of our unspoken dreams) as well as an installation by Armenian/Lithuanian artist Andrius Arutiunian that echoes another work also on show at the same time at Les Grandes Locos in Oullins. From 18 September 2024 to 4 January 2025.
