Genesis
After London, Berlin, Milan, Geneva, Marseille and Bordeaux, the Genesis experience is coming to Lyon. More than just a light show, each performance is an immersive experience, taking the audience back to the origins of the world, with the aid of cutting-edge technologies like video mapping.
Bringing together history and innovation, each session lasts 30 minutes, exploring the seven days of Genesis through light, water, earth and plants.
The screenings have been specially adapted to the unique architecture of the Palais de la Bourse and are accompanied by enchanting music, creating an up-close, total experience. Seated and accessible for all ages.

Pompeii, cité immortelle
This is a first in France. The new exhibition at La Sucrière brings Pompeii back to life, at the foot of Vesuvius, before its eruption in 79 CE. A journey through time, into the daily lives of the Pompeians, guided by 100 authentic objects unearthed by archaeologists, reconstructions and reproductions of living spaces, including an atrium and a thermopolium (an ancient street food shop).
Immersive views of the city reanimate the bodies imprinted in the ashes, revealing the ingenuity and skills of people at the time. The visitor trail also includes individual stories, such as that of 17-year-old Caius, or the author, naturalist and naval commander Pliny the Elder, who mobilised his fleet when disaster struck Pompeii.
From 13 December 2024 to 27 July 2025
Cirque du Soleil
Turning 40 this year, Cirque du Soleil is returning to Lyon, at the LDLC Arena, to present its show Corteo. One of the company’s biggest hits, the show tells the story of Mauro the clown. For his funeral, the clown imagines a grand celebratory parade (‘corteo’ in Italian) bringing together all his former circus friends.
The audience will be treated to a dazzling procession of more than fifty characters, played by highly skilled acrobats, musicians and artists, gathered for a dizzying, colourful performance on the theme of friendship and shared dreams. A show not to be missed.
From 26 to 29 December 2024

Two juries – one formed of professionals and the other of residents – will hand out 13 awards at the closing ceremony. Cambodia, the land of smiles, will be honoured at a special evening event, including a debate and a show.
