Three festivals welcome families with open arms.
The small Nuits (de Fourvière)
"Small in size; big on imagination!”... This season, Nuits de Fourvière is offering four shows dedicated to children (€9 to 15): Voyage Cosmopop by Arandel at the Planetarium; OctOpus by Cheptel Aleïkoum; La poétique de l’instable (Poetics of instability) by the company Arcosm; and Loin de Garbo (a musical journey of swing and exile) by Le Collectif de l’Autre Moitié. What’s more, if you buy tickets for a child and an adult for one of these shows, you can book a free workshop (including circus, Lego and skateboarding) to enjoy as a family.

Lyon Street Food Festival

Bringing flavours from around the world to all the family, the Lyon Street Food Festival is being held at Les Grandes Locos this year (see page 26). There will be more than 20 kids friendly workshops available for free, including a recipe-making space. You’ll also find board games, arcade machines and even giant wooden toys. Free entrance for under-8s.

This family-friendly festival held in Grand Parc Miribel Jonage is turning 25 this year. On 31 August and 1 September, it is putting on even more free activities at its eco-village, welcoming little festival-goers to take part in intergenerational workshops (upcycling, plant-based ink making, science experiments, and more), run by the collectives 7ici, Homega.ma and Savants Fous.
